Opting to bowl first, Namibia had a dream start, courtesy Ruben Trumpelmann. The left-arm seamer castled through Oman batters and pushed the opposition on the back-foot.

Oman have a decent batting lineup, led by Kashyap Prajapati and Aaqib Ilyas, but both the batters fell prey to Trumpelmann's brilliance as the decision to bowl first paid dividend for the Namibian team.

In the first delivery of the match, the sensational Namibian pacer bowled a deadly in-swinger and Prajapati had no answer for it, as the ball clipped him on the front leg. Trumpelmann followed it up with a dream delivery that reminded fans of Shaheen Afridi. He bowled an inch-perfect yorker on the middle stump and it almost crushed Ilyas' toe as the ball once again struck on the stumps.

The Oman batter took the review, but the original decision of the on-field umpire stood firm. The back-to-back wickets derailed Oman's confidence, as the batters looked clueless against a top-quality opposition bowler.

Talking about the match, both the sides are playing their first game of the tournament. They are placed in Group B, alongside Scotland, and tournament favourites, Australia and defending champions, England.
