T20 cricket continues to occupy the minds of fans all across the globe, which includes tournaments like the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and England's T20 Blast 2024. Currently, away from international setup, England's Tom Curran is playing for County side Surrey and is making waves already in the competition.

In Surrey's match against Somerset from South Group last evening, Curran shone with the ball, claiming a well-deserved three-wicket haul, which included the sensational scalp of Sean Dickson. 

Chasing 164, Somerset found themselves in trouble with four down for 62, from where Tom Curran added only misery to his opponent's fortunes. The England all-rounder cleaned up Dickson's wicket with a peach of a delivery, which left the batter dumbfounded, with a near-perfect out-swinger.

Curran soon claimed his second and third wicket in the form of Ben Green, and skipper Craig Overton, to deflate Somerset completely. 

Eventually, Surrey led by Ollie Pope, bundled out Somerset for 106, winning the encounter by 57 runs, notching up their third successive win in the tourney.  However, this was Somerset's maiden loss in the competition, having won their first match against Essex by four wickets.

With his three-for, the 29-year-old also became the leading wicket-taker for his club this season, with six, which is headed by Tymal Mills, who is leading with eight. Surrey next plays Sussex on June 7 at Kennsington Oval in London.
