Vignesh Puthur Keeps MI In The Game

It is the exact thing that happed with MI's new spin bowling sensation, Vignesh Puthur. The 24 year old young left-arm wrist spinner bowled a brilliant spell in the game and kept MI in the match even till the end.

Notably, MI batted first in the game after Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss. Mumbai Indians did not have a great start to the innings. However, the ex-CSKian Deepak Chahar played a handy knock in the lower order and took the team to a fighting total of 155/9 at the end of the 20 overs.

Vigness Puthur Earns MS Dhoni's Praise With His Brilliant Bowling Effort

In the chase, CSK lost Rahul Tripathi early in the innings. However, Ruturaj Gaikwad played a brilliant knock scoring 53 runs off 26 deliveries and setting up the stage for CSK win. However, Vignesh Puthur came to the attack and started changing the tide of the game. 

He started with the wicket of Gaikwad and changed the momentum of the game. His spell of three wickets for 32 runs in his four overs brought the game in balance. However, Rachin Ravindra gave the winning blow sealed the deal for CSK.

After the match ended, MS Dhoni was seen praising Puthur for his brilliant bowling effort. Puthur accepted the praise by the treasure house of experience and said thank you. At this, Dhoni was seen asking Puthur his age. It was a great moment to witness at the end of an intense competition.
