Chennai Super Kings are the five-time IPL champions, and so are Mumbai Indians. Thus, the battle between the two has always been fascinating over the years, and both the franchises enjoy loyal fanbase. The players who play from both the teams also know the rivalry between the two, and one of the past CSK players who have fought lot of those battles is Deepak Chahar.

Deepak Chahar Shows His Worth With The Bat vs CSK

However, CSK did not buy him in the IPL 2025 auction and their arch-rivals took the opportunity to buy him at 9.25 Crore. He is now playing his first game for MI against his past team and mentor MS Dhoni, and got an opportunity to show his talent with the bat.

The bowling all-rounder delivered and slammed an unbeaten knock of 28 from just 15 balls to take his side to a respectable total of 155. He hit two fours and two sixes in his knock and when he hit the first six, the enjoyment on his face was evident and he came out with an animated reaction.

The six came on the second ball of the 19th over and was a full delivery, around off. It was a slower delivery and Chahar picked it up nicely to hammer it down the ground for a maximum. Chahar's must be disappointed during the auction, as CSK decided to part ways with him, and the kind of reactions he gave after hitting big shots showed what it meant to him.

On the other hand, CSK players look worried and one of them was MS Dhoni. He had a usual grim look on his face, and it would be interesting to see how CSK would go about their business with the bat in hand. 

Chahar would now be looking to show his mettle with the ball and make CSK fans understand his importance after they decided end their long association.
