Mohammad Taha is known for his power-hitting and ability to get going right from the onset. In the 30th match of Maharaja Trophy he proved that again as he slammed two sixes and four fours in his 35-run knock against Gulbarga Mystics.

One of his two sixes came in the very first over of the match when Monish Reddy bowled a shortish delivery on the off-stump line to Taha who was just waiting to cut loose. He picked the length quickly and pulled it all the way over deep mid-wicket into the second tier of M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

It was a shot that the cricketing world is used to seeing from Rohit Sharma, and the shot from Taha surely brought back memories of Rohit belting bowlers in the Powerplay with his powerful pulls and lofted shots.

However, Taha could not carry on his promising start, and ended up losing his wicket in the fifth over. It was the second wicket of Hubli Tigers' innings, but they have a strong batting line-up and would be looking to post a strong total on the board after a rapid start by Mohammad Taha.

Manish Pandey Due For A Big Score

As far as Taha is concerned, he has not been able to convert his starts into big scores and is yet to get a fifty to his name in this season. Also, Manish Pandey another big player from Hubli Tigers' line-up has not notched up a big score this season, and his fans would be hoping that he gets a substantial score ahead of the semifinal.
