In New Zealand's second ODI against England, Mitchell Santner, one of the world's best fielders at the moment, showed his athleticism at The Rose Bowl in Southampton. With only his left hand, the Kiwi all-rounder made a spectacular catch at the extra cover to dismiss Jonny Bairstow for a paltry eight-ball six.

Santner took the stunner in the third over of the match, which was reduced to 34 overs because of the unfavorable weather. Facing an inswinging delivery that was pitched around the middle stump, Bairstow closed the face of the bat a bit too early. As a result, a leading edge was flying over the extra cover.

In an outrageous one-handed catch, Santner saw the opportunity and timed his jump perfectly.

ENG vs NZ: Mitchell Santner's stunning catch forces Jonny Bairstow to depart early

The early dismissal of the threatening Bairstow wicket made the New Zealand players ecstatic. Bairstow has a reputation for pulling off carnage in the 50-over format quite frequently, and a wonderful timed catch by Santner did not allow the Englishman to do much damage on Sunday.

At the time of writing, England are in tatters, having slipped to 28/4 in 7.3 overs.
