Forgotten star batter, Karun Nair still hopes for a comeback in the India National team. The elegant batter started his career on a positive note, but his career went downhill and he was eventually removed from the squad.

Nair, is just the second Indian batter after Virender Sehwag to slam a triple century in Tests. He achieved the feat against the visiting England side in 2016.

Nair will continue to flight for his national team spot

Nair, who is nearing 33, believes in miracle, and has the glimmer of hope that he can still make useful contributions in the Indian team. The Indian batter is currently playing in the Maharaja T20 League, and hopes to climb the ladder to make it back in the national side.

"I feel like I'm batting as well as I've ever done. I am in a good head space, I know where my game is. I am just making sure if I get opportunities, wherever it may be, the focus is on making the most of those chances so that I can climb up the stairs again," as quoted by ESPNCricinfo.

"It's still exciting to wake up each morning and dream of finding a way back to play Test cricket," he further added.

Nair, showed his class on Monday, when the hammered a 48-ball 124* against the Mangalore Dragons in the Maharaja T20 2024. He slammed 9 sixes, and had a strike-rate of 258.33
