Experienced Indian speedster Mohammed Shami had a sensational beginning to the ongoing World Cup clash against New Zealand, as he dismissed Devon Conway to push the Kiwis on the back foot. Batting first, India posted a massive total of 397 runs, thanks to exceptional knocks from Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer. In response, New Zealand had a solid start, with Conway and Rachin Ravindra hitting a flurry of boundaries. 

However, the game swung into India's favour as soon as Rohit Sharma introduced Mohammed Shami into the attack. The move immediately paid off, as the pace removed Conway, helping India get into the driving seat.

It was a full length delivery from wide of the crease, as Conway went for a drive away from his body. He went on to edge the ball in this process, with the ball flying towards KL Rahul. The Indian keeper did the rest, diving towards his left and holding on to a spectacular catch. 

After dismissing Conway, Shami removed Rachin Ravindra to wreak havoc in the New Zealand camp. As of writing, the BlackCaps are reeling at 40 for two in 8 overs, with Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell batting on 4* and 0*, respectively.
