After suffering a group-stage exit from the 2023 World Cup, Pakistan has grabbed headlines for all wrong reasons. To the unversed, recently famed Pakistani all-rounder Abdul Razzaq received massive backlash for his derogatory remarks on famous Indian actress Aishwarya Rai. A day after the incident, a video has gone viral on social media, revealing how a certain Pakistani poet once racially abused legendary West Indies cricketer Sir Viv Richards on live TV.

In a video shared by a prominent journalist on Twitter, a Pakistani poet can be seen hurling racial abuse at the batting icon.

While expressing her opinion on a certain matter, the poet recalled how she once wrote a few lines on Viv Richards after his affair with Indian actress Neena Gupta became the talk of the town.

While narrating the story, the poet stated how she mentioned Sir Richards as 'Kaaliya' (a black man) in her poem. In an even worse event, former Pakistan cricketer and PCB chief Ramiz Raja laughed his heart out on the incident.

The video is just another proof how casual racism has been prevalent on most TV shows in Pakistan, something that should be condemned by prominent personalities.

Talking about Pakistan, the Men in Green recently returned to home following an abysmal World Cup campaign in India. They will be up against Australia in a three-match Test series starting on 14th of the next month.
