In the encounter between MI Cape Town and Sunrisers Eastern Cape, 36 years old Kieron Pollard, one of the fittest cricketers across the globe  took a stunning diving catch while running close to the boundary rope to dismiss Aiden Markram. The South African batter was going all guns blazing and looking to score a big knock.

The West Indies all-rounder is currently plying his trade for MI Cape Town in the SA 20, 2024 tournament. He smashed a fuller delivery from Rabada down the ground and it looked like the ball would reach the boundary. However, a diving effort from Rabada meant that Markram had to depart. He departed after playing a handy knock of 54 off 32. 

Markram, Abell power Sunrisers Eastern Cape to 175 against MI Cape Town 

In their 7th match of the tournament, Sunrisers Eastern Cape managed to score a competitive score of 175 runs in the first innings. Both the openers, Jordan Hermann (2 off 4) and Malan (18 off 22), had departed cheaply. 

But Tom Abell and Aiden Markram put in valuable contributions with the ball to take the team to a respectable score on the board. Abell starred with the bat, scoring 60 runs off 44 balls, while skipper Aiden Markram made 54 off just 32 deliveries. 

Coming in at number five, Tristan Stubbs also played an impactful cameo of 23 off 13. In pursuit of the target, MI Cape Town have lost one wicket for 32 runs in 3.4 overs. MI Cape Town have had a forgettable season thus far this season.
