Batting at number five, the 23-year-old South African stumper unleashed his brutal reverse-flick against the pacer during the 17th over of his side’s innings at the St George’s Park.

Stubbs provided Sunrisers Eastern Cape their death-overs impetus with a roaring cameo, before late wickets from MI Cape Town restricted the defending champions to 175-6 off their 20 overs.

Batting at number five alongside captain Aiden Markram, Stubbs unleashed his astonishing blow during the 17th over of the innings, thus breaking the run-scoring shackles for the Sunrisers Eastern Cape after they endured a couple of silent overs at the hands of Pollard and Liam Livingstone.

Earlier in the match, number three batsman Tom Abell and captain Aiden Markram both listed dazzling half-centuries before Stubbs’ cameo blazed the Sunrisers Eastern Cape to 175-6.
