Babar Azam has been enjoying his time on the field a lot more since resigning as Pakistan captain across formats. During the recent tour of Australia, he was often seen enjoying his time on the field. 

Babar Azam is currently plying his trade for Rangpur Riders in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League season. In the recent encounter between Khulna Tigers and Rangpur Riders, he was involved in a hilarious incident with the umpire. 

On the last ball of the 12th over during the first innings, Dasun Shanaka smashed the ball straight back at Mahedi Hasan. The bowler tried to stop the ball but it also hit the umpire. Upon witnessing that, Babar ran to the umpire and hilariously rubbed his shoulder. 

The video of the incident has now been making the rounds on social media.


Khulna Tigers register three wins in a row after beating Rangpur Riders by 28 runs 

The Tigers continued their winning streak as they recorded their third consecutive win on Friday after beating Rangpur Riders by 28 runs. The start wasn’t a great one as the likes of Anamul (0), Mahmudul Hasan Joy (7), and Afif Hossain (4) got out on single digits. 

Lewis, however, kept scoring runs at a quick pace and ensured the scoreboard kept ticking. He played a valuable knock of 37 runs in 25 deliveries. Later, Shanaka (40 off 33) and Mohammad Nawaz (55 off 34) made significant contributions with the bat to power the team to a formidable score of 160 runs on the board. 

Rangpur Riders, too, couldn’t make a great start as they lost three wickets for 49 on the board. Shamim Hossain (30 off 22) and Mohammad Nabi (50 off 30) kept the team in the hunt with vital contributions. 

However, once the duo departed, wickets fell in quick intervals and the Tigers were bowled out for just 132 runs in the second innings. Dasun Shanaka starred with the ball for Khulna Tigers, picking 4 wickets for just 16 runs in 3 overs. Besides, the likes of Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz claimed two wickets apiece.
