KL Rahul is not known for his on-field humour, but he showed his other side during the ongoing ODI clash between India and Sri Lanka.

The funny incident occurred during the 14th over of the match, when Shivam Dube had already got a wicket on the first delivery. However, on the fourth ball, he bowled one down the leg side as the Sri Lankan batter missed his flick and the ball got into the hands of keeper, KL Rahul.

The Indian team felt a noise as they appealed for caught behind, but the umpire was unmoved as he gave it a wide. However, replays suggested that the ball was near to the bat, and it was a close shout.

This is when KL Rahul, in his funny antics asked skipper, Rohit Sharma whether the IPL wide rule applies in ODIs as well?.

In IPL, if the batting team or the bowling team feels they differ from the umpire's decision regarding the wide call, then they can take the review and send it upstairs to the third umpire. Interestingly, KL Rahul knew that the batter is not out, but he just wanted to get a decision in his teams' favour.

Talking about the match, Sri Lanka have already lost half the side, and are struggling to even reach the 200-run mark.
