A heartwarming moment was captured on camera during the 1st ODI match between India and Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium on Friday (August 2). 

India's star batters Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill were seen laughing together, with Kohli laughing harder, showcasing their strong bond. The video quicly went viral and garnered love from fans.

The 35-year-old batter, who recently returned from a break after the T20 World Cup win against South Africa in Barbados, is playing his first ODI in eight months and his first under new head coach Gautam Gambhir. 

Shubman Gill, the vice-captain for the Sri Lanka tour, had a decent run in the T20I series, scoring 73 runs in two innings.

The moment was caught on camera during the match, where Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first against Rohit Sharma-led India. 

The Indian team are currently in Sri Lanka for the three-match ODI series, looking to continue their dominance after winning the T20I series 3-0 against the hosts at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
