Riding on a clinical all-round performance from the players, England thrashed Pakistan by seven wickets in the decider of the four-match series on Thursday night.

As Pakistan lost the bilateral series before the T20 World Cup, keeper-batter Azam Khan received massive backlash for his sub-par performance.

Known for his hard-hitting skills, Azam managed a five-ball duck before Mark Wood's snorter got rid of him in the eleventh over of Pakistan's innings. His poor batting form took a toll on his keeping as he dropped a dolly to give Will Jacks a lifeline.

The incident occurred during the ninth over of England's innings when they had already breached the 90-run mark, thanks to Phil Salt's assault. After bowling two dot balls, Haris Rauf tested Jacks with a short ball, with the batter edging it behind the stumps.

The ball went straight to keeper Azam Khan, who dropped a simple regulation catch. His terrible effort shocked Rauf, as the seamer instantly expressed his frustration. Following his sloppy effort behind the stumps, Azam was brutally trolled on social media for his substandard fitness.

Although Jacks couldn't capitalise on the missed opportunity, Jonny Bairstow and Harry Brook remained unbeaten to ensure England's clinical victory that helped them clinch the series by two-nil.
