On Tuesday, Rohit Sharma's wife, Ritika Sajdeh, took the internet by storm as she shared a post in solidarity with the Palestinian city of Rafah, which recently witnessed casualties due to Israel's air strike. Notably, Israel officially apologised following the missile strike, calling it unintentional. 

Taking to her official Instagram handle, Ritika expressed deep grief for those affected in the unfortunate incident that apparently took 46 precious lives. 

Ritika's kind gesture was quick enough to grab the attention of Pakistan cricket fans, who lauded her for taking a stand on the matter. 

Pakistan cricket fans have always been vocal about the Israel-Palestine conflict, wholeheartedly supporting the latter in the controversial matter.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma, along with most of the Indian players, has arrived in the United States to participate in the T20 World Cup. 

After being replaced by Hardik Pandya as Mumbai Indians captain, the veteran batter stepped up for the franchise, scoring the most runs for them in an otherwise abysmal campaign. 

In 14 innings, Rohit showcased his class, amassing 417 runs at an average of 32.08 and a strike rate of 150. 

The Indian captain will open the batting alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal in the T20 World Cup. Considering his form, Rohit is expected to make an impact in what could be his last hurrah in ICC events.
