[Watch] Frustrated Litton Das Breaks Bat After Getting Out In 2nd ODI Vs NZ

On Saturday, hosts Bangladesh had a forgettable outing in the second ODI against New Zealand, losing the game comprehensively by 86 runs. Bowling first, the Tigers restricted the BlackCaps to 254, but failed to chase the total, as Ish Sodhi's sensational six-fer bundled them out for a paltry 168.

In the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, stand-in skipper Litton Das had another poor day with the bat, managing a sloth-paced 16-ball 6 before being dismissed by Kyle Jamieson in the sixth over. This was Litton's fourth consecutive failure with the bat, the other three being his ordinary outings in the Asia Cup 2023.

After getting out cheaply, Litton seemed quite frustrated and expressed his anger in a unique way. While making his way back to the dugout, the keeper-batter smashed his bat on the ground, eventually throwing it away before entering the dressing room.

Notably, Litton missed Bangladesh's group-stage Asia Cup fixtures against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan owing to fever. However, despite featuring in all Super Four clashes, the stylish right-handed batter managed only 31 runs, including a silver duck, at a horrendous average of 10.33.

With the World Cup being around the corner, his poor form has certainly become a concern for the Bangladesh think tank. So, he would be eager to work on his grey areas and bounce back strongly in the third ODI against New Zealand on Tuesday.
