Riding on bowlers' commendable performance, India made a remarkable comeback in the ongoing first ODI against Australia. Veteran pacer Mohammed Shami emerged as India's wrecker-in-chief with the ball, dismissing Mitchell Marsh and Steven Smith before castling Marcus Stoinis with a beauty.

After losing five wickets, Australia fought back in the game, courtesy of a scintillating stand between Josh Inglis and Marcus Stoinis. While Inglis clobbered three fours and two sixes for his run-a-ball 45, Stoinis smashed five fours for his 21-ball 29.

However, the swashbuckling finisher couldn't play till the end, as Shami bowled him with a dream delivery.

It was a length delivery, which came back into Stoinis after pitching. The batter went for a wild slog, getting beaten all ends up, with the ball shattering his timber in this process.

Shami went a step ahead and dismissed Matthew Short and Sean Abbott to complete a spectacular fifer. His incredible figures of 5 for 51 is the best by an Indian pacer against the Aussies on home soil.

However, a valiant 21-run cameo off just nine deliveries ensured a fitting finish for Australia, powering them to 276 in 50 overs. So, India will need 271 runs to win and go one-nil up in the series.
