In a stunning display of dominance and power-hitting, Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh of RCB-W delivered an extraordinary performance in the WPL, leaving Indian spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad humbled after hitting three quick sixes in a single over.

For the final game of the Bengaluru leg, Royal Challengers Bangalore clashed with UP Warriorz earlier today. After having put into bat first, Smriti Mandhana unleashed her true potential with a dominating 80-run knock of a mer 50 deliveries. She slammed 10 fours and three sixes in the process before Deepti Sharma scalped the much-needed breakthrough.

Regardless, Mandhana had set the stage for the lower order to capitalize. Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh, the following batters in line, continued the onslaught, particularly coming down heavily on Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

In the 17th over, Perry danced down the track to smoke a huge six down the ground right over the bowler's head.

Gayakwad hadn't even recovered from the initial attack when Ellyse Perry shocked her with another scintillating maximum. This time, Rajeshwari pulled back the length. But Perry knew what was coming her way and went deep in the crease to smash a flat six over the deep mid-wicket rope.

After Perry, it was Richa Ghosh's turn to join the party. With the momentum on her side, Richa reached out to Gayakwad's fuller delivery to hit a towering slog sweep over the deep mid-wicket ropes. The ball disappeared into the sky for a moment before landing deep into the stands.

Ghosh's fearless approach and powerful hitting complemented Perry's innings, as they formed a formidable partnership that put the opposition under immense pressure.

Owing to Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh's impactful cameos, RCB-W posted a mammoth total of 198 runs on the board, thus surpassing the highest total record of the season. An exciting chase is on the cards as UP Warriorz navigates a fightback.
