Suresh Raina, who was also known as the 'Chinna Thala' due to his efforts to make Chennai Super Kings a success, lifted another trophy while wearing the yellow colour, as his team became champions of the inaugural season of the Indian Veteran Premier League.

The Indian Veteran Premier League 2024 was nothing but another star-studded T20 league of legends, which was taking place in Greater Noida. Suresh Raina, who was leading the VVIP Uttar Pradesh team in the league, thrashed the Mumbai Capitals in the final by chasing a mammoth score of 217.

One of the former players of India, Pawan Negi, played a match-winning unbeaten knock of 105 runs off 55 deliveries and helped VVIP Uttar Pradesh close the chase with four deliveries remaining. With this century, he also became the highest scorer of the tournament.

With the presence of amazing veteran players like, Chris Gayle, Virender Sehwag, Suresh Raina, Phill Mustard, Richard Levi and many more, another league of cricketing greats became a success.

There is something with Raina and the yellow jersey, as they end up lifting trophies together. But it wasn't for Chennai Super Kings, this time it was for VVIP Uttar Pradesh. However, with this league, the fans got to witness some old sky-rocket sixes from his bat

Here's how Suresh Raina celebrated another trophy wearing the 'Yellow':

Suresh Raina may not have contributed with the bat in the final, but his leadership skills were on point throughout the tournament. In the semifinal game against Chattisgarh Warriors, Raina went on to smack a blistering half-century, which included five boundaries and four maximums, helping his team win the knockout game.
