A high-voltage Abu Dhabi T10 League game between UP Nawabs and New York Strikers saw a dramatic turn of events as UP Nawabs fielders Tymal Mills and Andre Fletcher collided with each other in their attempt to latch on to the top edge from Akeal Hosein. Fortunately, both the fielders escaped unhurt with Fletcher also managing to secure a clean catch.

For the 24th match of the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2024 edition, UP Nawabs were up against New York Strikers. The Strikers batted first only to be let down by Evin Lewis, Donovan Ferreira and Sunil Narine. Courtesy to Dewald Brevis' 33 off 16, the Strikers posted 74/6 total which was below par given the tournament's trend thus far.

Fielders collide in T10 League!

Meanwhile, during the first innings, Akeal Hosein went in for a pull shot against Tymal Mills' back-of-the-length ball that angled in after hitting the deck. Hosein's timing was awful as he found the top edge. Meanwhile, Nawabs wicket-keeper Andre Fletcher and the bowler, Mills both went for the catch and the lack of proper calling led to a collision. 

Fortunately, both fielders escaped unhurt. Meanwhile, amid the chaos, Fletcher was the one who latched the catch in his keeping gloves as Akeal Hosein made a walk back to the dressing room.

UP Nawabs, meanwhile, won the contest by 9 wickets after Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Avishka Fernando put in 42 runs in 3.4 overs. Fletcher added the final touch with 18 off 6 balls to wrap up the chase in 6.1 overs.

Pollard bats from behind the stumps in T10 League

In another dramatic moment, Kieron Pollard of New York Strikers stunned the fans as he batted from behind the stumps during the Abu Dhabi T10 League. Batting against Odean Smith, Pollard went across to bat from behind the stump line but failed to time his attempt to hit a big shot. Pollard wanted to maximise Smith's wide yorker delivery but miserably failed in his unorthodox attempt.
