Kieron Pollard should be named the 'master of antics', as was visible during his performance in the 24th game of the Abu Dhabi T20 between the New York Strikers and UP Nawabs. Pollard, known for his explosive and unique hitting, took matters 'behind the stumps' to hit a big one against Odeon Smith.

Smith bowled a short-length delivery slanting across from the outside off during the final over. Pollard went behind the stumps and pulled at it; however, they failed to get any bat on it this time. While UPN's wicket-keeper batter, Andre Fletcher, made a loud appeal, the umpire did not move. As confirmed by the UltraEdge later, the bat and ball did not cross paths, so Pollard was safe.

The video of Pollard playing this strange shot, that is seemingly considered to be illegal, spread like wildfire on the internet:

UP Nawabs Crush Pollard's New York Strikers

The UP Nawabs defeated the New York Strikers, led by Kieron Pollard, comfortably with a nine-wicket win in their third straight season. After electing to field, the Nawabs had restricted New York to an unpalatable score of 74/6 in the first leg, which Binura Fernando chipped in with 2/10 and Tymal Mills with 2/11. Dewald Brevis top-scored with 33 off 16 balls.

In response, Nawabs' skipper Rahmanullah Gurbaz anchored the run chase with a solid 31* off 21 balls along with Andre Fletcher (18* off six balls), which added the required 33 runs without losing a wicket. Despite strong spells by Mohammad Amir (0/7) and Matheesha Pathirana (0/22), the Strikers never posted enough runs to challenge the Nawabs.

Kieron Pollard gave away the winning run, and the Nawabs went up to third in the points table with 6 points. The Strikers are in 7th place and still have a chance to make it to the playoffs.
