David Warner is no stranger to the spotlight. Known for his explosive batting, he never fails to amaze fans with his flair and power. In the 37th match of the Big Bash League 2024-25 between the Sydney Thunder and the Sydney Sixers, Warner once again stole the show. Among his highlights was a stunning six where he struck a pose that delighted both the crowd and the cameras.
Sydney Thunder were sent in to bat first, with David Warner partnering the young talent Sam Konstas at the top of the order. The pair was determined to lay a solid foundation, and Warner didn’t waste time making an impact.
In the third over of the innings, Sean Abbott, a seasoned bowler for the Sixers, came in to challenge Warner. However, Abbott’s attempt to contain Warner fell short. On the final ball of the over, Abbott delivered a full ball outside off stump, only to see Warner step to the leg side and unleash a glorious shot.
The ball soared over the cover boundary for a spectacular six. Warner held his elegant follow-through pose, a picture-perfect moment captured for the fans and photographers.
SIX VS THU Match Interrupted by Rain
Unfortunately for the Thunder, the game faced an interruption as rain halted play. Before the delay, the Sixers managed to pick up an early wicket, dismissing Sam Konstas for just nine runs, courtesy of Jack Edwards.
At the time of writing, Sydney Thunder are at 36 for 1 in 5.1 overs.
