In an electrifying performance, Moeen Ali, the seasoned all-rounder from CSK, showcased his brilliance for Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024. The 36-year-old cricketer stole the spotlight in the match against Chattogram Challengers, by taking a hat-trick in his very first match of the season.

Moeen's impact was felt both with the bat and the ball. With a fiery unbeaten 53 off just 24 balls, he propelled the Victorians to a formidable total of 239/3, matched only by the Rangpur Riders' record in BPL history. 

Partnering with fellow England player Will Jacks, who scored a blazing century and earned the Player of the Match award, Moeen exhibited his dominance, hammering five sixes and two fours at a striking rate of 220.83.

But Ali's heroics didn't end there. In a sensational display of bowling, he claimed a hat-trick. With figures of 3.3-0-23-4, he single-handedly dismantled the Challengers' lower order, securing victory for his team. Ali's hat-trick, achieved in the 17th over of Chattogram's run chase, marked the eighth such feat in the tournament's history. 

He dismissed Shohidul Islam (2) with the first ball, induced Al-Amin Hossain (0) to sky one to Will Jacks on the second, and clean-bowled Bilal Khan (0) with the third, securing a thrilling hat-trick and sealing the match for his team.
