Star Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah stirred the cricketing world as he reportedly unfollowed his Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Mumbai Indians (MI), and franchise captain Hardik Pandya on Twitter now ‘X’. 

This move seems to be followed by his disappointment and unhappiness with the Mumbai Indians camp after they announced Hardik Pandya's return to the team after two years and appointing him as the franchise captain.


The Mumbai Indians faced a barrage of criticism from fans and players alike following the announcement. Many speculate that Bumrah's decision to unfollow the team on social media might be linked to his discontent over the leadership change and the perceived neglect of senior players like Rohit Sharma and himself by the franchise.

Hardik Pandya's journey back to Mumbai Indians is not without its twists. Despite leading Gujarat Titans to their maiden IPL title in his first season as captain after not being retained by Mumbai ahead of the mega auction in IPL 2022, Pandya returned to his former team.
