In the ongoing match between Fortune Barishal and Rangpur Riders of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024-25, was not just about big hits one incident that caught the attention was comical moment involving Mohammad Saifuddin. Talking about the match, Barishal, batting first posted a competitive total of 197/5, thanks to a brilliant knock by Kyle Mayers (61 runs off 29 balls). Tamim Iqbal and Najmul Hossain Shanto at the top-order also made valuable contribution. 

Faheem Ashraf added a quickfire 20 off just 6 balls in the final overs, giving the team a late flourish.  However, the highlight of the innings came during the last over, due to a hilarious moment of miscommunication between Faheem Ashraf and Kyle Mayers.  

Saifuddin's Comical Run-Out

In the final over, Saifuddin bowled a full-length delivery on the fourth stump that Kyle Mayers missed while trying to slog. As the ball trickled to the keeper, Faheem Ashraf attempted to steal a bye. Both batters ended up at the same end, creating a bizarre situation.   

Nurul Hasan casually threw the ball to Saifuddin, who decided to add some theatrics before whipping off the bails. Instead of immediately completing the run-out, he playfully teased Ashraf, holding the ball and pretending to wait. After a moment of lighthearted drama, he finally removed the bails. 

Chasing the target, Rangpur Riders started well, with opener Tawfique Khan making a steady 38 off 28 balls. At the time of writing, RGR need 41 runs in 15 balls with Iftikhar Ahmed and Khushdil Shah batting at the crease.
