Cameron Green pouched a stunning one-handed catch at midwicket against West Indies to send Roston Chase back to the sheds. Green’s stunner further crumbled the visitor’s response, as they eventually folded up for 175 in their 259-run pursuit.

Earlier in the match, Green also scored 33 valuable runs with the bat and led Australia’s brief recovery alongside senior teammate Marnus Labuschagne.

Cameron Green bags a one-handed stunner

Stationed at midwicket by interim Australian captain Steve Smith, star all-rounder Cameron Green flew low to his left with an outstretched hand to pouch a dying ball just above the SCG turf.

West Indies middle-order batter Roston Chase, who was cramped for room by Sean Abbott in his attempted flick, subsequently made his way back to the pavilion with a cautious 25 to his name.

With West Indies slipping further at 167-9 following Roston Chase’ dismissal, ace spinner Adam Zampa seized the final wicket on offer to script an 83-run win for Australia.

Earlier in the match, Cameron Green smacked five boundaries and a six in his 33-run knock after having made his way into the crease in just the first over of the innings. The 24-year-old led Australia’s brief recovery with a 39-run partnership with Marnus Labuschagne after they were reduced to 50-3 at one stage.

In the middle overs, Matthew Short made 41 while Green’s all-round teammate Sean Abbott top scored in the innings with an attacking 63. Abbott’s knock took Australia to a competitive 258-9, before the Australian speedster claimed three key West Indies wickets.
