There has been plenty of trouble for Shreyas Iyer lately with his back concerns. As the 29-year-old was left off the BCCI's central contract list, the 29-year-old reportedly missed the final two days of the Ranji Trophy 2024 between Mumbai and Vidarbha due to the same issue.

There were several reports that Shreyas would miss a few IPL 2024 matches for KKR, whom he would captain in the coming edition.

In reality, it doesn't seem that way after Mumbai won their 42nd Ranji Trophy at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The KKR skipper, who smashed an entertaining 95 in Mumbai’s second innings, was seen dancing on the field to celebrate his native state’s win.

There was no doubt a sigh of relief among thousands of KKR fans since he did not play an IPL match last year and is already doubtful to participate in the next edition.

Shreyas was dropped from India’s setup after the first two Tests of the five-match series against England, which they won by a 4-1 scoreline under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

KKR will play their first match of the IPL 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on March 23.
