Babar Azam played like a lone warrior on Thursday (June 6) in Pakistan's ICC T20 World Cup 2024 opener against the USA at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.

And the highlight of his innings was the way he stepped out of the crease to smash Harmeet Singh for six runs with a gorgeous lofted drive over long-on.

It was the first ball of the 12th over when Babar went down the ground against Harmeet Singh. The timing of the shot was so perfect, that the ball sailed over the long-on with ease.

At the time of writing this, Babar lost his wicket after a hard-fought 43-ball 44, as Jasdeep Singh got the prized wicket, Pakistan, after being invited to bat first, kept on losing wickets in regular intervals.

The Men In Green, have slipped to 139/7 after 18.1 overs, with Shaheen Afridi being in the middle, batting on 7* off 8 deliveries. For the USA, Saurabh Netravalkar, who earlier took the wicket of Mohammad Rizwan, got the wicket of Iftikhar Ahmed as well.
