USA’s Saurabh Netravalkar, who represented India’s Under-19 squad once, struck early against Pakistan on Thursday (June 6) in Match 11 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at Grand Prairie Stadium, Dallas.

After the USA won the toss and opted to bat, Rizwan came to open alongside Babar Azam with an aim to give their side a beautiful start. However, the ploy did not work, as Netravalkar drew first blood as early as the second over of the innings.

Nevertheless, it was Steven Taylor’s absolute screamer of a catch that led Rizwan to return to the pavilion after a paltry eight-ball nine.

It was a good length delivery from the left-arm pacer, which swung late. The late swing did the job for Rizwan, who could only get a thick outside edge. Placed at first slip, Taylor dived to his right and plucked an outstanding catch with one hand.

No wonder the crowd in the stadium was pumped as soon as the catch was taken.
