After a fine Test series against the Proteas, Babar Azam was expected to deliver the goods in the ongoing Test series Vs West Indies. However, just like his teammates, Babar was frustrated by the West Indian bowlers as Jayden Seales castled him with a lovely out-swinger as the Pakistan batter was dismissed cheaply. His dismissal reminded fans of how Kohli used to be dismissed in the Australian series.

The Multan pitch was expected to provide assistance to the spin bowlers, but the reversed happened as Seales ran riot and picked up 3 of the 4 wickets to push Pakistan on the back-foot in the first Test match.

Low score on home Test return for Babar

The Test match started late due to extreme foggy conditions, and when the play commenced, the West Indian pacer was all over the home side. Out of his 3 scalps, the wicket of Babar was perhaps his best ball as the batter was dismissed for just 8.

He bowled a length ball which just pitched outside the off and nipped away to take the outside-edge. Babar Azam didn't even move his feet as the edge was taken safely by the keeper and after the dismissal, the Pakistan batter was left shell-shocked, as he couldn't believe what had just happened.

West Indies dominate early proceedings

The Multan curator used greenhouse effect and gas heaters to dry out the surface. As a result, it was expected that the ball will turn from Day 1 itself. Gudakesh Motie picked up Shan Masood's wicket, but the other three scalps were taken by Jayden Seales as Pakistan batters had no answer against him. He started the wicket of Mohammad Huraira, and backed it up with wickets of Kamran Ghulam and Babar Azam to rock the hosts.
