The first Test between Pakistan and West Indies in Multan has an unexpected visitor and no it's not rain. The highly-anticipated clash has been marred by dense fog resulting in low visibility as a result of which toss has been delayed.

Latest Weather Update From Multan

As per Crex, the weather at Multan Cricket Stadium is currently impacted by dense fog, which is causing significant delays. The conditions remain unclear, with visibility low. The floodlights are in full effect, but the fog continues to persist around the ground.  Players are warming up in the meantime, but there has been no further update on the situation. The umpires are expected to conduct another inspection once the conditions improve.

What is dense fog halting PAK vs WI 1st Test?

The India Meteorological Department classifies fog into several subcategories based on the visibility conditions. Shallow fog is when visibility is between 500m to 1000m, moderate fog is when visibility lies between 200m to 500m, and dense fog is defined as the case in which visibility is between 50m and 200m. Very dense fog is defined as when the visibility is below 50m. These subcategories aid in the evaluation and communication of fog-based weather conditions.
