The Champions Trophy 2025 is just around the corner and already there are several players who are sidelined due to injuries. As a result, the combination of many teams has been disrupted and they have found it hard to replace their star players. The cricket schedule nowadays go hard and it doesn't allow players to have too many rests.

As a result, key players have gone injured and the majority of them are pace bowlers. Teams like India, and South Africa have already been jolted with injuries to star bowlers and it has hampered their preparations for the upcoming event.

In this piece, we'll talk about 3 fast bowlers who are likely to miss Champions Trophy due to injuries.

3) Jasprit Bumrah

Even before the start of the tournament, India have suffered a major jolt as star pacer, Jasprit Bumrah is unlikely to take part in the Champions Trophy. The fast bowler suffered from a back injury during the Australia Test tour and was taken for scans as a precautionary measure.

However, there is no confirmation from the BCCI on Bumrah's participation and as a result, the team has delayed their squad announcement for the mega event.

2) Pat Cummins

Australia's worst fears might come true as their captain, and arguably their biggest match-winner, Pat Cummins is likely to be ruled out of the Champions Trophy due to an ankle injury.

The Aussie captain, just like Bumrah, suffered the injury during the Test series Vs India and won't take part in the upcoming Test tour of Sri Lanka. However, there is still doubt on his participation in the upcoming Champions Trophy and this could be a disaster for the Australian team.

1) Anrich Nortje

The star South African pacer had a serious back injury and was out of the Proteas team for a considerable period of time.

Unlike Bumrah and Cummins, Nortje was officially ruled out of the Champions Trophy on Wednesday. However, just like Bumrah, the Proteas pacer had a back injury and he couldn't recover on time as the fiery bowler will not take part in the Champions Trophy tournament.

The team has plenty of quality pacers, but Nortje's sheer pace will be missed by the Proteas side.
