Arshdeep Singh had a decent IPL, but India need more from him in T20 World Cup 2024 if they want to go deep in the tournament and the man has started with a bang. In just his second over of this World Cup against Ireland, he removed both experienced Ireland openers and the second of those wickets was of Andrew Balbirnie, who was cleaned up in style.

The wicket of Balbirnie came on the final delivery of the third over of the match. It was a good-length delivery on off and the former Irish skipper who has the habit of missing in-dippers, was a bit tentative and tried to defend it. However, the ball beat the outside edge of his blade and knocked over his stumps to leave Ireland reeling on 9 for 2.

Balbirnie departed on five and Ireland would now need their middle order to step up, if they want to put a formidable total on the board.
