In the ongoing T20 World Cup match between India and Ireland, the first breakthrough came for the Men In Blue as Arshdeep Singh and Rishabh Pant joined forces to eliminate Paul Stirling for just two runs in the high-stakes clash in New York.

In the third over, Singh bowled it from over the wicket aiming at the stumps, Stirling stayed in the crease and looked to heave it across the line however, he failed to counter the extra bounce because of which he got a top edge and the ball went straight up and high in the air. Rishabh Pant sprinted backward behind the stumps and takes a fine catch just outside the circle. With this India drew first blood and jolted the very spirit of the Irish men in the powerplay itself.

A good decision by the Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma to bring Arshdeep Singh in as he ended the over by taking another wicket and this time it was Andrew Balbirnie who departed for just 5 runs.
