Why Is Sanju Samson Not Playing In T20 World Cup 2024 Match Between IND & IRE?

At the toss of the India-Ireland T20 World Cup 2024 fixture, Rohit Sharma revealed the playing XI for Men in Blue's first match of the tournament and it has not gone well with the fans as it had several big names missing.
Surprisingly, the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kuldeep Yadav and Sanju Samson were made to sit on the bench. Talking about Samson, who enjoys a great fan following, hogged the internet as his omission from the playing XI came as a shocker.

Sanju looked a first-choice keeper for Men in Blue but his omission is being linked with his poor performance in the only warm-up match India played ahead of the start of the tournament.
In the Warm-up game, Sanju failed to make a mark against Bangladesh and got dismissed for 1 (6). Much to his dismay, Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten fifty in that match.
The fans are angry with the Indian management as they felt Samson is getting harsh treatment by getting dropped after one bad game. Notably, Samson had a great IPL as he led Rajasthan Royals to the playoffs and also scored 531 runs in 18 games.
