Virat Kohli and Mohammed Siraj are naturally aggressive cricketers, but they are quality cricketers too, and now in the third ODI between India and Sri Lanka the duo channelised their aggression to great effect by forcing captain Rohit Sharma to take a DRS against Sadeera Samarawickrama.

It was a brilliant reverse-swinging yorker from Mohammed Siraj who was already pumped up after his altercation with Kusal Mendis. Sadeera was batting on duck and the yorker surprised him as it came right in the blockhole. Initially it seemed that he has managed to get only bat on it as the umpire denied the appeal by Siraj and other Indian players.

Masterstroke from India

The Indian pacer though was confident that the ball has hit the leg first, and even Virat Kohli who was standing at short mid on was confident that it was not bat first. Rohit Sharma though was not confident, but took the DRS at the last moment and it turned out to be a masterstroke.

The replays showed that the ball has hit the boot first and then the bat, and the decision was overturned as Sri Lanka lost their fourth wicket. Washington Sundar then chipped in with another wicket and from 171-1, Sri Lanka were reduced to 196-5.
