Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa has achieved a significant milestone in T20 cricket by taking his 300th wicket in his 258th match. He reached this landmark during Australia's match against Oman in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados on June 6, 2024.

With this achievement, Zampa has joined an elite group of bowlers, becoming the second Australian and the 27th bowler overall to accomplish this feat in T20s.

Adam Zampa's milestone moment occurred in the 12th over. He dismissed Shoaib Khan with a perfectly executed delivery.

It was full on the off stump, bowled at 90 kmph. Shoaib Khan walked down the pitch but ended up yorking himself. He failed to get his bat down in time, allowing the ball to sneak through and hit the base of the stumps.

Zampa secured his first wicket of the match, further destabilising Oman’s batting lineup.

Earlier in the match, Australia posted a competitive total of 164 runs in their 20 overs after being asked to bat first by Oman.

Key contributions came from David Warner, who scored a steady 56 off 51 balls, and Marcus Stoinis, who played a blistering knock of 67 off just 36 balls, ensuring Australia set a challenging target.

While defending the total, Australia's bowlers put on a commanding performance, taking crucial early wickets and putting Oman under immense pressure. By the 10th over, Australia had effectively taken the game out of Oman's reach.

Australia started their T20 World Cup campaign on a winning note and defeated Oman by 39 runs.
