Veteran cricketer Marcus Stoinis emerged as the wrecker-in-chief for Australia in their T20 World Cup opener against Oman at Kensington Oval, Barbados. After powering the Aussies to a fighting total with his blistering knock, Stoinis showcased his bowling prowess, recording clinical figures of three for 19 in his three-over spell. 

After getting rid of Oman skipper Aqib Ilyas and his predecessor Zeeshan Maqsood, Stoinis came back to jolt Oman with the massive breakthrough of Mehran Khan. 

However, Tim David got a much-deserved credit for the dismissal, courtesy of his sensational catch near the boundary. 

Coming to bowl his third over, Stoinis was hit for a boundary on his first delivery. However, he made a remarkable comeback soon, dismissing Mehran, albeit with a full toss. 

It was a low full toss from Stoinis as Mehran swung through the line to dispatch the ball towards widish long-on. However, before the ball could fall in no man's land, Tim David exhibited incredible fielding skills to grab a stunning catch. 

As he went near the ropes, the cricketer balanced himself beautifully and claimed a fair catch to send Mehran packing. 

Regarding the game, Australia defended the total successfully, securing their first win of the tournament. They will take on arch-rivals England in their subsequent game at the same venue.
