Things are not looking great for Antigua and Barbuda Falcons as they have registered their fourth straight defeat in CPL 2024. Their latest loss came against St Lucia Kings, who are in fine touch with two wins in two matches.

In the recently concluded match at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, The Falcons were asked to bat first as the team batting second had a 100% success rate this season. Batting first, The Falcons put just 142 runs on the board as Noor Ahmed spun his magic and took a three-wicket haul.

In reply, Faf du Plessis went all guns blazing, but two quick wickets slowed things down. The Falcons looked out of the game, but a third wicket resulted in a situation where the Kings required 23 to win off 24 balls.

Tim Seifert Seals The Game With A Six

The game could have shifted to any side, so the Falcons' captain, Chris Green, handed the ball to veteran Mohammad Amir. However, the plan backfired, as the left-arm seamer got whacked for three sixes and a four in the 17th over by Tim Seifert, who finished the match with a huge six.

Seifert hit Amir for two sixes off the first two balls and scored a boundary off the third. After two singles, Kings required five to win off 19 balls, which is when Seifert sent the ball into the stands to win the game.

Seifert has been instrumental for the Kings in both their matches as he also scored 64 (27) against SKNP. It is worth noting that he was earlier not a part of the Kings' squad, but came as a replacement for Heinrich Klaasen, who pulled out of the tournament citing personal reasons.

Amir Failed To Defend 16 Runs Against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots

It is not the first time Amir has taken the beating, as he previously failed to defend 16 runs in an over against St Kitts & Nevis Patriots earlier this season. Dwaine Pretorius smashed him for sixes, and in that game too he hit a six to seal a win.
