The St Lucia Kings have taken the driver's seat in the sixth game of the CPL 2024 against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua. The Kings did a fantastic job with the ball, putting the Falcons to bat first after winning the toss.

The Falcons, despite a steady start, found themselves in a tough spot as their innings began to unravel. The loss of Fakhar Zaman's wicket, who squandered a promising start, was a significant blow. The Falcons' subsequent struggle to build momentum and their frequent loss of wickets when partnerships seemed to be forming, evokes a sense of empathy.

Noor Ahmad emerged as the peak of the bowlers for the Kings. He picked up three wickets for 18 runs in his four overs and broke the backbone of the Falcons. Two of these three wickets came in a single over, derailing the Falcons further.

Noor Ahmad was at the peak of his form in the game

Noor Ahmad accounted for Sam Billings and Fabian Allen in the 17th over of the innings. These two wickets fell off the fourth and fifth ball of the over and had Ahmad on a hat-trick. However, Chris Green successfully negotiated the next delivery and prevented Noor from getting a hat-trick.

Besides getting the wickets of Billings and Allen, Noor also took the prized wicket of Jewel Andrew. The young West Indian batter has been a critical player for the Falcons, and his wicket was one of the most significant blows that Noor had dealt them.

The Falcons somehow managed to reach 142/7 at the end of their 20 overs.
