The St Lucia Kings are on the way to their second win of CPL 2024 against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in the sixth game of the tournament. Notably, the Kings took full advantage of their skipper, Faf du Plessis's decision to field first after winning the toss.

The Kings' bowlers put the Falcons'  batters in a tight spot, consistently taking wickets and preventing them from settling in the middle. While all the bowlers of St. Lucia did a brilliant job, Noor Ahmad emerged as the star, picking up three crucial wickets for 18 runs in his four overs. 

Justin Greaves turned out to be the top scorer for the Falcons with 36 off 26 deliveries. Besides Greaves, Imad Wasim was the only other batter who looked good with the bat. Because of the contribution of these two batters, the Falcons reached 142/7 at the end of their 20 overs.

Johnson Charles found rhythm after initial struggles


The Kings got off to a blazing start in reply to the moderate total of the Falcons. Faf du Plessis played a blinder of 24 from 15 deliveries and set the tone for the chase. The knock from du Plessis allowed Johnson Charles to take a bit of time as he was struggling a bit to find his rhythm at the start of the innings. 

However, in the sixth over of the innings, Charles showed signs of settling in the middle. Chris Green bowled a full delivery at the middle stump on the last ball of the over. Johnson Charles moved away from the line of the ball and heaved the ball over long-on for a huge maximum.
