In a remarkable achievement, talismanic Indian batter Virat Kohli has become the fastest batter to complete 27000 runs in international cricket. The batting maestro achieved the milestone during India's ongoing second Test against Bangladesh at Green Park in Kanpur.

After restricting Bangladesh to 233 in their first innings, India had an outstanding start to their innings, courtesy of a scintillating opening stand between Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. After Mehidy Hasan Miraz dismissed Rohit for 23, Jaiswal and Gill smashed the visiting bowlers to all parts of the ground. The duo stitched a valiant partnership before Jaiswal's dismissal triggered a mini-collapse for the hosts.

However, Virat Kohli held his nerve during the critical situation, handling the pressure exceptionally and guiding India towards a competitive score. The legendary batter slammed 27000 international runs in this process, becoming the fastest batter to attain the landmark.
