MS Dhoni is now 43-year-old, and despite rumours of his retirement all over social media, the superstar of Indian cricket is still going strong. In IPL 2025, he has played some decent knocks, and in the game against RR too, he smashed one powerful six.

MS Dhoni Shows Glimpses Of Glorious Past With A Straight Six

It came on the fifth ball of the 16th over when Samson decided to give Riyan Parag an extra over considering Dhoni's struggle against spin. Parag bowled it full around off from 'round the wicket and MS Dhoni blasted it down the ground for a six. It was a typical Dhoni hit, flat and straight back over the head of the bowler.

The shot delighted the capacity crowd assembled at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi, but Dhoni could not continue the fireworks and ended up with a knock of 16 off 17 balls. Shivam Dube at the other end also could not play a fluent knock and managed 39 runs from 32 balls. It restricted them to under 190 when they looked set for over 200 at one point in time.

The platform was set by Ayush Mhatre with his 43 from 20 balls which included eight fours and a six. Dewald Brevis also smashed 42 from 25 balls while Yudhvir Singh and Akash Madhwal grabbed three wickets apiece.

Both the teams are at the bottom of the table currently, and whichever team loses this game, will end with the wooden spoon in IPL 2025. However, both the teams have unearthed two youngsters who look set to serve them for a long time. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has smashed 35-ball hundred while Ayush Mhatre has also scored consistently for CSK.
