Rajasthan Royals had a dismal Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season as the team got eliminated in the league stage and failed to reach the playoffs. However, the side had one shining light in an average IPL campaign and his name is Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Teh 14-year-old RR opener set the league on fire with his fiery performances.

Suryavanshi creates history with whirlwind knock

The opener announced his arrival with a blistering hundred Vs GT and continued the momentum in the next few days. However, on Tuesday, he entered an elite club and went past DC opener, Jake Fraser-McGurk to record to the highest strike-rate by any IPL batter (on his first 100 balls faced).

Suryavanshi in the 2025 IPL season had a strike-rate of 212.38 on his first 100 balls, while Fraser-McGurk struck at 199.48.

Suryavanshi blitz blows away CSK

Chasing a tricky 188 in RR's last league stage match Vs CSK, Suryavanshi blew away the CSK bowlers as he unleashed barrage of big hits and completed a 27-ball fifty. He looked assured and dealt in sixes as the Super Kings had no answer to his onslaught.
