The underlying objective of the Indian Premier League is to give platform to talents to express their best at the highest level of the game. The motto of the tournament - 'Where talent meets opportunity', ideally gives perfect reason behind organising the tournament.
From Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumra to Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag - the Indian Premier League has bred world class talents for India over the years. The fact holds for the ongoing edition of the tournament.
IPL 2025 has seen the rise of a few players who could become the future superstars for the Indian team. Here is a look at three such rising talents from IPL 2025 -
3. Priyansh Arya

The left-handed young opener grabbed a lot of eyes during the latest edition of the Delhi Premier League with his devastative batting. Punjab Kings were impressed by Priyansh Arya's show and hence bought him during the IPL 2025 mega auction for a price of ₹ 3.8 Cr.
Arya has not disapppointed the PBKS management and has been very impactful in the tournament. He has scored 356 runs in the tournament in 12 innings at an average of 29.67 and a strike rate of 190.37. The aggression that Arya has shown at the top has impressed a lot of cricket experts and sits perfectly with changing landscape of the modern T20 game.
We should not be surprised, if Priyansh Arya finds his way into the Indian T20 side and becomes a key part of the team's plans.
2. Ayush Mhatre

The right-handed opening batter has been fresh year to an otherwise dull and disappointing tournament for the Chennai Super Kings. Ayush Mhatre came in as a replacement of injured Ruturaj Gaikwad and played a bran of cricket that people did not associate with CSK in IPL 2025.
In five matches, Ayush Mhatre has scored 163 runs at an average of 32.60 and a strike rate of 181.11. The fearlessness and the ability to attack the bowlers from the first ball of his innings make him the ideal opener for any modern T20 team.
Ayush Mhatre is aged just 17 years and has the time on his side. If he keeps working on his game and improves to become an even more all-rounder batter, then there is no doubt that India will be depening on him as one of the key batters in the near future.
1. Vaibhav Suryavanshi
The 14-year-old dyamic opener has been the point of discussion from the time his services were acquired by Rajasthan Royals. With Sanju Samson being the opening partner of Yashasvi Jaiswal in the team, Vaibhav Suryavanshi did not get a chance in the playing XI at the beginning of the tournament. However, the injury to skipper Samson was a blessing in disguise for Suryavanshi and he grabbed this opportunity with both hands.
Suryavanshi has scored 195 runs in six matches at an average fo 32.50 while having a strike rate of 219.10. The left-handed batter has looked like an unpolished talent with infinite scopes. If Suryavanshi keeps working on his game, it is a given that India will have one of the most dynamic and destructive openers in the T20I arena.
