On Tuesday, West Indies will take on Afghanistan in the final group-stage clash of the ongoing T20 World Cup. Both teams have already qualified for the Super Eight stage, having won three group-stage games each. 

Considering they have been undefeated in the competition, we expect a nail-biting face-off at Daren Sammy National Stadium in St Lucia.

Led by Rovman Powell, West Indies have had a tremendous World Cup campaign, emerging victorious on three consecutive occasions. 

After outclassing Papua New Guinea and Uganda, the Men in Maroon put up an exceptional performance to stun the Kiwis in their previous fixture. 

Gudakesh Motie has been outstanding with the ball, with Akeal Hosein and Alzarri Joseph assisting him with perfection. 

However, barring Sherfane Rutherford, none of the West Indies batters has been consistent with the bat, something they would like to rectify before the Super Eights.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan have been absolutely ruthless across departments. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran have contributed significantly with the bat, while Fazalhaq Farooqi has rattled the opposition with his razor-sharp bowling. 

The eyes will also be on skipper Rashid Khan, who could run through the Windies' middle order, courtesy of his wily variations. 

However, much like the Windies, the Afghans would also like to evolve their middle-order batting, expecting better performances from Nabi, Omarzai, Najibullah and Gulbadin.
