The highly anticipated clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan is just a few hours away, and a chapter of their illustrious rivalry is about to be added. In the build-up to this big-ticket match, various assumptions were made that the rain gods might ruin the encounter. However, the ties have turned on D-Day, and a full-fledged game is expected to get underway in Pallekele on Saturday.

As per Sri Lanka Cricket's recent social media, the sun is out, and the sky has gotten as straightforward as it gets at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on the morning of the Asia Cup 2023 INDO-PAK encounter.

As reported by OneCricket on the eve of the clash, the weather was cleared on Friday only. And, as per the latest updates, there is not even a slim chance of rain in Pallekele on Saturday, meaning both teams will get their full quota of 50 overs to test the opposition.

Coming onto the team composition, the Babar Azam-led Pakistan have already named their Playing XI to face India in Group A of the ongoing Asia Cup. The Men in Green have decided to field the same team, which demolished Nepal by 238 runs at Multan.

Rohit Sharma's India, on the other hand, will announce their lineup at the time of the toss itself. Reportedly, Ishan Kishan is all set to play in place of KL Rahul; meanwhile, Mohammed Shami is about to get seated, and Shardul Thakur is expected to be the third all-rounder alongside Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja.

The game will get underway at 3:00 PM IST, while the coin will be flipped 30 minutes prior to the start of play.
