The excitement surrounding the India versus Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match is at an all-time high. One of the most popular rivalries in cricket, India versus Pakistan has always attracted massive viewership not just from the two Asian countries but from around the world.
However, the threat of rain looms large over the Asia Cup meeting between the two neighbouring countries. As per AccuWeather, there is a 94 per cent probability of precipitation during the match. However, the good news is that currently, the sky in Kandy is clear and sunny after two days of rain. Fans will be hoping that the weather remains the same until tomorrow.
Pakistan began their Asia Cup 2023 campaign with a huge win over Nepal. Skipper Babar Azam, who is currently the world's no 1 ODI batter according to ICC rankings, scored 151 while Iftikhar Ahmed scored an unbeaten century down the order to guide Pakistan to a first-innings total of 342, which they successfully defended after Shadab Khan picked up four wickets.
For now, the weather looks good but in case rain interrupts the game tomorrow, we could see a curtailed game. For a result, at least a 20-over-per-side match has to be played according to the ICC rules. But in the worst-case scenario, if the match is washed out, both teams will get two points each.
