As the excitement builds for the third match of the Asia Cup 2023, where Team India squares off against arch-rivals Pakistan. Set to take place on Saturday, September 2, this clash promises to be one for the ages, with both teams vying for supremacy on the cricketing stage.

One of the most eagerly anticipated aspects of the Asia Cup is the battle between India's formidable batting lineup and Pakistan's relentless bowling attack. In recent times, Pakistan, under the captaincy of Babar Azam, has demonstrated their mettle against India, clinching victory in two out of the last four T20I encounters.

In the buildup to this encounter, former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir shared his insights, emphasizing that the Indian batsmen should adopt an attacking mindset rather than looking to survive against the Pakistani bowlers.

Here's what Gautam Gambhir said to Rohit Sharma:

"Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, your approach has to be clear against Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. Look at scoring runs, not surviving. When you score runs, you are in better rhythm, and it translates to superior backlift and footwork," Gambhir articulated during his appearance on Star Sports' Game Plan.

The Pakistan side enters this match on the back of a 238-run triumph in the Asia Cup opener against Nepal. However, the spotlight remains on the showdown between India's star-studded batting order and Pakistan's fiery pace battery.

After their victory against Nepal, Pakistan has opted to maintain continuity by retaining the same playing XI for this clash. Much like the scenario before the Asia Cup opener, the team announced its lineup a day ahead of the Saturday showdown.
